Developer Tribute Games has announced that Mercenary Kings will be released on PS4 on April 1st in North America and on April 2nd in Europe.
The game is an old-school run-and-gun platformer which allows players to choose between either Empress or King, two members of the Mercenary Kings gang.
On the PlayStation Blog, the developers wrote:
"Dropped on Mandragora Island, players are tasked with one mission: rescue the brilliant Dr. James Neil from the forces of C.L.A.W. (Cyber Loyalist Active Weapons) and prevent them from using the Mandrake Formula to conquer the globe."
Gamers will have the choice to tackle the game alone or in a team of up to four players either locally on online and Tribute Games says the title includes a deep weapon and crafting system which allows you creates anything from blades to cannon. There's more than 300 gun parts and over a 100 knives.
There will online compatibility between PS4 and PS Vita but we've yet to hear the details of how this will work.
