Double Fine charmed the hearts and minds of gamers with the release of Costume Quest several years back, and it looks like they’re back with a sequel. Today, the company announced that it plans to release Costume Quest 2 this year on PC and consoles.
Tim Schafer revealed the news during the latest episode of IGN’s Up and Noon show, and joked that he saw the sequel more as a demand rather than a choice his studio could make for themselves.
“It is that game, you can’t slip that schedule, It’s the kind of game you always want to revisit, there’s such a great core to it,” he added.
Unlike their other recent titles, which were self-published ventures, Costume Quest 2 is set for publication by Midnight City. Check out the announcement below.
