Wolfenstein: The New Orders Runs at 1080p/60fps on PS4 and Xbox One

February 27, 2014 by Stephen Daly

There will be graphical parity between the PS4 and Xbox One versions of MachineGames’ title.

MachineGames' Wolfenstein: The New Order will have a resolution of 1080p and run at 60fps on both PS4 and Xbox One, publisher Bethesda has confirmed.

SCEA Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill confirmed with MachineGames that the PS4 version would have optimal graphics settings and now Bethesda has issued a statement to GamingBolt regarding the Xbox One edition of the game saying, “The Xbox One version of Wolfenstein will run at 1080p/60 fps.”

A number of multiplatform games run at a higher resolution on PS4 including Call of Duty: Ghosts and Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes. It was revealed today that Titanfall, which is not being released on PlayStation, will have a resolution lower than 1080p.

Last week, Bethesda announced that those who pre-order Wolfenstein: The New Order will gain access to Doom 4's beta. Wolfenstein is set for release on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on May 23rd.

News of Wolfenstein's graphical parity should be welcomed by Xbox One owners in light of the emerging trend of current console titles having higher resolutions on PS4.
