Contrary to popular belief, Dark Souls 2 isn’t about death. The punishing RPG coming out of From Software will kill you – and it won’t feel bad about doing so, either – but the latest Hollow Lullaby trailer argues that the game is about “what you've learned from death."
Basically, the video wants you to understand that the upcoming Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3 title is about trial and error. It’s about holding your head up high after being burned alive by a sharp-toothed dragon, knowing that next time, you probably won’t die in such a gruesome way. Dark Souls 2 is about taking a bit of new knowledge from each and every wound you suffer, and hopefully you’ll even have some fun along the way.
There are plenty of new features and locations to see in the highly anticipated title, so even if you hate the prospect of continually dying, be prepared to invest some time into Dark Souls 2 March 11.
