Dark Souls 2: Let’s Take A Look at Magic and Spellcasting

February 18, 2014 by Ian Miles Cheong

A newly released video from a fan discusses the differences in magic and spellcasting in Dark Souls 2 and the first game.

There is a host of ways to play Dark Souls and its highly anticipated sequel, Dark Souls 2, including spellcasting, which makes up a big portion of many players’ playstyles.

To that end, JerpDoesGames put together a video perspective on spells based on the recently held Dark Souls 2 network test to examine the differences in spellcasting between Dark Souls 2 and its predecessor. How have things changed? Well, find out for yourself in the video below.

Though it’s only four minutes long, the video is densely packed with more information than we can recall about the game. It’s well worth the watch if you’re planning to play a mage-like character in Dark Souls 2.
