Konami has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will run at 1080p on PS4 and 720p on PS3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Both the PS4 and Xbox One versions are 60fps while the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions run at 30fps.
The development team notes:
"Since "METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES" is a multi-platform game, we have taken the opportunity to test the differences in how each version of the game looks and plays. The videos and images below show an overview of these differences, which we hope will help to decide which version is right for you."
First, Konami compared the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of the game during the day and at night. The PS4 version allows for higher resolution which means Snake is more detailed and improved background elements while effects like rain are enhanced. The PS4's enhanced rendering means distant objects are more clearly defined, even at night.
Konami also contrasted the Xbox 360 and Xbox One editions of the game and said players will note similar graphical enhancements on Xbox One over Xbox 360.

There's a clear difference between the last-gen and current gen graphics but what do you think of the difference between the Xbox One and PS4 versions given the resolution difference?
Despite the gap, Hideo Kojima has said that arguments over framerates are "nonsense". Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes releases on March 20th and lasts just two hours but producer Jordan Amaro has defended the length of the game saying quality is more important.
