Superhot: Mind Control Delete Unveiled

July 9, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

Grab a free copy if you own the original installment.

Superhot was a unique FPS when it launched. What started as a small prototype build blew up in popularity online, allowing the team to go ahead and craft up a full game. If you’re unfamiliar with Superhot, the game puts players against these red glowing humanoid enemies all while time progresses extremely slowly. When players move the time begins to speed up, ultimately allowing you to beat up your opponents in a carefully strategic manner.

The popularity also sparked the development team to go ahead and deliver a DLC that was intended to be available in 2017. However, the developers continued to flesh the DLC out enough to make it a standalone game called Superhot: Mind Control Delete. Today we are getting our first look at the game which is set to release later this month.

According to the press release that was sent out, it seems to be a more refined version of Superhot but with it comes larger levels, new mechanics, additional powers, and characters to either take control of or fight against. It’s also a game that most of you won’t have to pay for as it seems that if you own an original copy of the game then you can receive a free download for this upcoming installment.

It’s worth pointing out that the game must have been purchase and not something that was received free through a service or giveaway. That means if you received the game through the likes of Twitch Prime then you wouldn’t qualify for a free copy of Superhot: Mind Control Delete. With that said if you don’t qualify then you can still purchase a copy of the game for $24.99, this July 16, 2020, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. However, it does look like more platform ports make come out at a later date.
