MLB The Show is going to be making its long-awaited debut on the PlayStation 4 this May, according to a new post on the PlayStation Blog. The team at Sony has been working hard over the past 10 months to produce a product much greater than what baseball fans have grown accustomed to in the past, and a set of new screens and details indicate that this goal is getting close to being met.
More than 50 new features and improvements are being added to the game in order to sharpen the moment-to-moment action, with a new UI and Quick Counts meant to quicken the game. Year-to-year saves will allow players to carry over their hours of work on the diamond to next year’s product, and Community Challenges will give the players even more tools to create memorable baseball moments.
Most of all, it just looks better. Take a gander at a few of the screens below if you want to wrap your head around the PlayStation 4 showpiece.
The PlayStation 3 and Vita versions of the game are launching April 1, while the PS4 game is going to take a bit more time and release in May.
