Xbox Live Gold will be going free to play on Xbox One and Xbox 360 this weekend, presumably to entice non-members to sign up for the service.
According to Microsoft, the company will make all Gold-exclusive Xbox Live apps and services free to access this weekend, from 12am PT on Friday, 14th Feb, to 11.50PT on Sunday, 16th Feb. This even includes access to multiplayer and may have a lot to do with the Titanfall beta, which launches on Friday.
Unfortunately, the freebie will only be available to gamers in North America. Gamers elsewhere will not be able to use the service for free.
The deal will be available alongside a new update for the Xbox One, which adds a battery charge indicator, USB keyboard support, and the ability to manage storage.
