Ubisoft isn’t exactly hot on the Wii U at this time. Although the massive French company started off excited and supportive of Nintendo’s latest home console, a lack of software and consumer enthusiasm has forced the publisher’s hand. Now, major titles like Watch Dogs are being delayed on the Wii U partly due to a lack of interest, and recent financial results show exactly why Ubisoft feels this way.
According to a fiscal report (via Nintendo Life), the Wii U made up just 2 percent of Ubisoft’s third quarter results. 2 percent. That’s just not enough for the company to get excited about. The full breakdown can be found below.
Q3 2013/2014
Wii U delivered 2% of sales — €10.4 million / £8.7 million / $14.2 million out of a total €520 million / £433 million / $710 million
First nine months of 2013/2014
Wii U delivered 4% of sales — €32.5 million / £27.1 million / $44.4 million out of a total €813 million / £677 million / $1110 million
The results for the rest of the consoles were also supplied.
PlayStation 3 — 28%
Xbox 360 — 27%
PlayStation 4 — 12%

At this point, it’s unclear what Nintendo will do to turn this ship around.
