Watch Dogs, the massive open-world project coming from French mega-publisher Ubisoft, won’t be hitting the Wii U for quite some time. The company just confirmed that the game will be arriving on most platforms between April and June of this year in their latest financial report, but CEO Yves Guillemot soon added that Nintendo fans will have to wait a bit longer to hack their way through the game’s near-future city.
“We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft,” he explained.
We know that third-party publishers aren’t exactly keen on moving their properties to the struggling Wii U, but this might be one of the bluntest quotes we’ve seen from someone of the size of Ubisoft. We don’t have any information on the actual month that Watch Dogs on Wii U will launch, but you can absolutely expect it to hit after June.
