This is a guide for the L115 in Call of Duty Ghosts.
The L115 can one hit kill at any range, the highest of any sniper rifle. Of course, this much damage comes with a few drawbacks.
First off, rate of fire is low at 40 rounds per minute, the slowest for any gun in the game. Hipfire has also been made very very bad, requiring you to take aim every time you shoot.
Recoil is similarly harsh, although it has a built in compensator, so that your scope can stay on target. Aim time is slow at 400 milliseconds, although not the slowest. Mobility is also slow, at 85 % of your base speed.
Magazine capacity is a lousy 5 rounds, 7 for extended magazines. This is the lowest for its class, although, considering it’s a sniper rifle, it’s not a huge factor in play. Reload time is the uncommon advantage at 3.36 seconds.
Call it crazy, but building a class for the L115 involves accentuating its best feature, maximizing the chances of one shot kills. The slow rate of fire requires you increase those odds to your advantage as much as possible.
Therefore, use the chrome lined barrel to increase the one hit target area to include the limbs. The increase in sway and recoil shouldn’t matter in play. Armor piercing rounds will make the difference taking out targets under cover.
For Perks, Focus will reduce idle sway and Wiretap will give you situational awareness to plan out each shot. Amplify, on the other hand, will clue you in when enemies are near you so you take them out first. You’ll also want protection in your position in the form of IEDs.
