Take-Two Interactive Software CEO Strauss Zelnick isn’t a gamer. Really, he describes himself as more of a suit, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a keen eye for the next big innovation. He and his team have been keeping a close eye on the Oculus Rift, and while there are no formal announcements at this time, there’s a possibility that we can see future Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead games using the piece of technology.
"Oculus Rift was a big smash and wonder at CES – and our folks were very impressed with it," he told Game Industry International. "It remains to be seen what we can do with it, but [Oculus] has already addressed some of the big challenges (such as users getting motion sick) that it faced early on. … I'm encouraged by anything that gets people more engaged with interactive entertainment."
With Sony even dabbling in the mounted headset space, it seems like the Oculus team has really started something big in this ever-expanding industry.
