Fortnite Will Host Its First Movie Night

June 24, 2020 by Dennis Patrick

Jump online and watch a movie with friends.

Fortnite has become such a behemoth of a video game franchise. What started out as a simple battle royale title blew up into a worldwide phenomenon. In this game, players are constantly finding new content being added into the game whether it be with game changes, additional skins, challenges, to even events. In fact, we are soon going to have our first movie night within Fortnite, and depending on your country, you may be able to participate.

As mentioned, there have been several events held in-game. From live performances, announcements, to special Fortnite focused content to further hype up another IP or entertainment release. One of the latest events will be movie nights which the first will take place this Friday. In fact, Friday’s first movie in the United States will be the film Inception and there are three showtimes that players can join in the game and watch the film with others.

Three movies are being featured which are Inception, Batman Begins, and The Prestige. It seems that depending on your country will determine just when and what movie will be playing. Much like how I mentioned earlier, Inception will be playing on Friday, June 26, 2020, starting at 8:00 AM EDT, with additional showings at 8:00 PM EDT and 11:55 PM EDT.

These events are being held at the Party Royale island which was established to provide a combat-free zone for players. We’re sure that this first movie night will bring in plenty of players although we’re interested if there will be any exclusive films showcased first on Fortnite or perhaps even some trailers for films coming out in the near future. At any rate, are you going to attend the Fortnite Movie Night this Friday?
