The latest patch for PS4 launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall allows players to cap the game's campaign mode framerate at 30fps.
Shadow Fall's multiplayer runs at a consistent 60fps but the single player component differs between 30fps and 35fps due to the game's detailed environments. This can create judder and lead to the game appearing less consistent.
However, locking the framerate at 30fps will remedy this issue. Developer Guerrilla said on Killzone.com:
"To guarantee a steadier framerate in the campaign mode, players can now lock their game to 30fps via the options menu."
Campaign checkpoints have also been overhauled as part of the patch – your progress will not be auto-saved when you're revived – while in-game clan features will allow you to invite members to a party and show clan tags and Warzone has been revamped.
As of January 15th, Killzone: Shadow Fall has sold 2.1 million copies meaning that half of the PlayStation 4's 4.2 million install base as of December 28th have picked up the shooter.
