Dark Souls 2 will give players more freedom to design their characters, with an expanded character creation toolset. From Software released five new screenshots (seen below) on Famitsu to showcase the game’s new character creator.
In addition to the new character creator, the game’s wider array of faces should give players a better sense of ownership over their characters. If the ugly faces of the characters in the first Dark Souls upset you, you should be pleased with the fact that the characters don’t look anything at all like hideous monstrosities this time around.
Interestingly enough, the screenshots reveal a new ‘Gift’ tab which allows players to equip character-buffing items that stay with you throughout the game.
The game’s out in March for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
