Former Left 4 Dead creators Turtle Rock Studios have only discussed the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of their next big project, but that doesn’t mean it won’t still release on last-generation hardware. Speaking during today’s financial call, Take-Two CEO Karl Slatoff explained that just because Evolve hasn’t been confirmed for the PS3 and Xbox 360 doesn’t mean it won’t happen.
"Any of our announcements made to date don't necessarily reflect our plans whether something's going to be specifically for next-gen or old-gen," he said when asked about a last-gen Evolve release. "It really is more a question of what consoles we've announced that they're going to be on at this point.
"We haven't really said anything about Evolve but for next-gen platforms," he said. "But that doesn't necessarily meant that we're not going on current-gen or that we are going on current-gen, it's not related at this point. It just says that we haven't had anything to share."
There aren’t a massive number of players supported in the game that only the PS4 and Xbox One can handle, so it’s not like what we’ve been shown of the title thus far requires too much horsepower. Look to hear more on Evolve in the coming months.
