New details on Dark Souls 2’s bosses have been revealed, thanks to the ESRB rating, and the agency’s descriptions are quite graphic. You should know by now that this is a spoiler post, so do not keep going down until you are sure you do not mind it.
As the undead fighter in Drangleic, you enter dungeons to fight enemies such as ghouls, zombies, skeletons, giant rats, and more to pick up souls. You use weapons such as knives, swords, arrows, and can create reactions such as spurts of blood and cries of pain.
They haven’t made hints of this until now, but Dark Souls 2’s content will be very graphic. There are scenes with dead ogres surrounding a pool of blood. There will also be a torture device that shows up with streaks of blood.
The boss fights will also be very graphic. One will be a giant snake boss that holds its own severed head. Another giant boss is made of hundreds of corpses. There will also be one boss that appears throughout the game that will be partially topless.
It’s the kind of stuff straight out of the Tibetan Hells, or worse, the Bible. I doubt From Software or Bandai Namco will deny any of the revelations at this point, but it’s unclear if they’ll be open to sharing pics or video of this content, at least not yet. Not that it’s really a surprise to anyone.
