One of Sony’s most prestigious developers, Housemarque, has finally revealed their highly anticipated title — Returnal.
The reveal trailer showcases a little bit of everything, ranging from story and gameplay. Housemarque is most known for their twin-stick shooters, but it seems they might be stepping out of the box for this one, and it looks amazing.
Returnal is said to be a side-scrolling action with roguelike gameplay in a third-person shooter aspect ratio. The reveal trailer does a good job showing players what to expect; Returnal is set to release for the PS5

Returnal combines side-scrolling action with roguelike gameplay into a third-person shooter where players fight to survive a hostile planet that changes with every death. Players can switch instinctively between firing modes by using a single adaptive trigger and can get right back into the action after dying.
PS5’s immersive 3D audio brings the alien world to life around the player, helping players navigate the intense positional combat. Coming to PlayStation 5.
