Tim Schafer Hopeful for Brutal Legend 2

January 22, 2014 by Josiah Renaudin

It would need a publisher, but Brutal Legend 2 is a possibility.

The heavy metal-themed Brutal Legend still stands as one of the biggest projects the Double Fine team has ever completed, and there seems to be a significant audience ready to jump back into the rockin’ world. Among those fans is creator Tim Schafer, who recently spoke to GameSpot during a Broken Age livestream about the possibility of a Brutal Legend 2.

"I love that world and I would love to go back there,” he admitted. "And I think [Jack Black] might be up for it, too.

"I would love to go back to that world or even just do a DLC pack. We're always trying to get Lionwhyte in there, a playable Lionwhyte army. Maybe that would happen someday. I would definitely love to do that."

Of course, Double Fine would need to find a publisher interested in the project before going forward with it, which might be the biggest concern here.
