The Outer Worlds is an action RPG that came out last year for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. However, the game from development studio Obsidian Entertainment will soon have a port available on the Nintendo Switch this month. With all the major platforms covered, you may be wondering if there will be more to come for the epic RPG adventure.
You can rest easy as we know that DLC is coming and it will be available on all the platforms. Obsidian Entertainment’s Tim Cain and Eric DeMilt, recently spoke with Nintendo Everything where we got news regarding the future of the IP. While most would have assumed that the game would simply just see a sequel next which would have been a Microsoft exclusive, the developers had confirmed that DLC is being developed.
If you thought the game was a bit too short and wanted to dive more into the universe of The Outer Worlds, then you will soon have the ability to dive into new stories. There is DLC being developed that will tell new tales, though we don’t know just where the DLC will be set in the game or if we will see the same characters featured from the base game in this new storyline.
“There are certainly more stories to tell, and you will see them in upcoming DLC!”
With that said, you can expect the DLC to also come out on the Nintendo Switch platform as well. This may have been a concern for those that are just now getting the Nintendo Switch version this month, but it doesn’t look like there will be anything to worry about as the DLC is being made alongside the other platforms.
Speaking of the Nintendo Switch version, The Outer Worlds is coming to the platform on June 5, 2020. However, you can enjoy the game right now for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms. We even have a Before You Buy episode on the game featured down below.
