Sid Shuman Senior Director at SIE Content Communications took to the PlayStation Blog to announce that Naughty Dog will be holding a special State of Play event for their upcoming title, The Last of Us Part 2.
The event is scheduled to go live this week on Wednesday, May 27 at 1:00pm Pacific Time / 4:00pm Eastern Time on Twitch and YouTube. The post details there will be about 20 minutes of footage focusing solely on the highly anticipated title. In addition, 8 of those minutes will include never before seen gameplay, so you definitely won’t want to miss it!
Lastly, the post also notes that there will be no news about anything regarding the PlayStation 5, just another deep dive into their upcoming title.

Naughty Dog Vice President and The Last of Us Part II Director Neil Druckmann will give you a special preview of The Last of Us Part II, coming to PS4 June 19. Neil will walk you through details of the gameplay experience and story.
The current cut is clocking in a little more than 20 minutes, ending with an extended sequence showing off about eight minutes of never-before-seen gameplay.
Sony recently held a similar event for their other upcoming exlcuisve title — Ghost of Tsushima.
