Just before he enters the Octagon tonight for his headlining fight against middleweight contender Luke Rockhold, boxing expert Costas Philippou has been added to the ever-growing roster for EA Sports UFC. This is the first 185-pound fighter to be shown, and it might just be the most life-like model displayed up to this point.
Philippou isn't knocking on the door of a title shot, but the always game fighter out of Cyprus is a whiz with his hands and an ever-improving wrestler. He’s slated to make his headlining debut during tonight’s UFC event, so EA’s timing is truly impeccable.
Here’s the full description of the fighter, provided by the official website:
“A constant threat in the UFC’s Middleweight division, Costas Philippou has been hard at work making a name for himself in MMA since taking his first pro bout in 2008,” it reads. “A highly-skilled striker and former professional boxer, the hard-hitting Cyprus native packs enough power to end any of his fights by knockout, and boasts six wins by KO in his MMA career. With another win-streak, Philippou stands to establish himself as a true contender in his division.”
Look for more faces to be added to the roster as we approach the game’s spring release date.
