Update: The Wild Expedition is a compilation of Far Cry 1, 2, 3 and Blood Dragon.
Ubisoft has revealed in its release schedule but not officially revealed what appears to be a new title based in the Far Cry franchise, titled Far Cry: The Wild Expedition. The new game is set for launch on the Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and PC on February 14, the publisher revealed. There's no word on whether the game will be out on the PS4 or the Xbox One.
The title, which appeared on Ubisoft’s latest release schedule sent to the media this afternoon, has yet to be officially detailed. No information was provided on what The Wild Expedition actually entails—such as whether it is Far Cry 3, a bundle containing the first and second games, or whether it’s something entirely new.
Could the game be a new Far Cry 3 DLC, in the vein of Blood Dragon, or something else entirely? We’ll find out soon enough.
