Bethesda Working on Bringing Older Fallout Games to Steam

January 3, 2014 by Andrea Castellano

Three Fallout games coming to Steam in the future.

GOG.com removed Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics from their online service yesterday, but Bethesda wants to give all potential players a chance to purchase each title through Steam.

We’re working to return classic @Fallout games (1, 2, Tactics) to Steam and will provide an update when they’re ready to go.

From the Bethesda Softworks Twitter account, the studio reassured fans that they are working to bring the three Fallout classics to Steam. Although they provided no Specific release date, they promise to provide future updates.

GOG.com kicked off their winter sale with free downloads for Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics for just 48 hours. The free downloads came from their inability to sell each title beyond 2014.

Despite multiple rumors and fake websites, Bethesda remained quiet about future projects such as Fallout 4. The studio explains that unless an announcement comes directly from the studio, to not believe any rumors.
