Titanfall Won’t Launch With PC Modding Tools

January 3, 2014 by Stephen Daly

Zampella says it’s something Respawn will ‘evaluate’ after launch.

Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall will not feature modding or mapping tools in the PC version of the game at launch, studio head Vince Zampella has announced but added that they might come in a future update.

In response to a fan's question on Twitter regarding whether such support would be included he said "Not at launch for sure, will have to evaluate after launch."

Earlier this week it was revealed that while the game does offer sniping capacity no-scoping and quick scoping are "ineffective".

Titanfall is set for release on March 11th for PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One and is a perpetual Microsoft exclusive "for the life of the product" meaning that potential sequels could be released on PlayStation platforms.

The game won't feature cross-platform play between the systems it is released on however. You can check out the latest trailer here which focuses on the Atlas mech.
