Fan of the classic Bushido Blade? Still unable to put TowerFall or Samurai Gunn down after hours and hours of multiplayer action? Well, it’s time to set aside some additional free time for the latest dueling game getting ready to take the PC by storm. Mark Essen’s Nidhogg, the game commissioned by the NYU Game Center for the No Quarter Exhibition, is landing on the PC Jan. 13.
Yes, that’s just two weeks away. The territorial two-player dueling game might be able to end with a single swipe of the sword, but this indie title should provide players with endless hours of high-speed fun. It was first revealed in 2010, so those who’ve been following Nidhogg closely should see this as the best news 2014 has seen thus far.
Wear that time-limited badge with honor, Essen. You’ve earned it.
