The Last of Us on PS4: ‘We will see,’ says Naughty Dog

December 30, 2013 by Andrea Castellano

The Last of Us on the PlayStation 4 is still a possibility.

As Naughty Dog continues to develop Uncharted for the PlayStation 4 and the new The Last of Us DLC, Left Behind, Naughty Dog hasn't abandoned the idea of a PS4 The Last of Us re-release.

In response to fan question on the PlayStation Blog about The Last of Us on the PlayStation 4, Eric Monacelli, community strategist at Naughty Dog, teased at some future plans.

"We’re just getting our Naughty Dog engine up and running on PS4 as we work on the next UNCHARTED project. We will see what the future brings! 🙂 "

His comment doesn't confirm that we should see The Last of Us on PlayStation 4, but it at least doesn't eliminate the idea.

Naughty Dog did mention in their season's greetings that 2014 would mark a "special time" for the studio. As a tease, Naughty Dog explained that 2014 brings some future plans, which they promise to explain in the New Year.
