EA has warned Battlefield 4 owners to expect "intermittent conectivity issues affecting some players across various platforms."
The latest problems follow a week of widespread online issues for the game game which prevented many users from being able to play at all. Among the issues which have affected the game to date are lost single and multiplayer progress, connctivity issues, bugs, and crashes.
Players have also complained that the China Rising DLC does not carry forward from the PS3 and Xbox 360 to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game despite the official Battlefield Twitter account's claim in November that the DLC would indeed cross between generations.
Earlier this month EA launched a Battlefield 4 issue tracker for the most common problems. At the time of writing, 12 issues have been fixed on all platforms while fixes are currently being worked on for three additional problems on select platforms. There are an additional seven issues which DICE is "investigating".
It seems Battlefield 4 will not be fully fixed until some point in early 2014, if at all. Due to the problems, development of other projects at DICE, including Battlefield 4 DLC, has been suspended until the issues affecting the game are fixed.
