Blizzard has announced that the Reaper of Souls expansion for Diablo 3 will be released on March 25th, 2014.
Reaper of Souls is available to pre-order now from Battle.net. The expansion is described as follows:
"The Prime Evil rages within the Black Soulstone, its essence screaming for vengeance and release. Before the artifact can be sealed away forever, Malthael – Angel of Death – manifests in the mortal realms with a deadly new purpose: to steal the Black Soulstone and bend its infernal power to his will. So begins the end of all things…"
The Digital Deluxe Edition (€9.99) includes an exclusive helmet, weapon-transmogrification recipes, and the Spectral Hound minion. In addition, players will receive three extra character slots, an in-game Treasure Goblin companion pet for World of Warcraft, Crusader-themed Battle.net portraits, and Malthael-themed decals for StarCraft 2.
A €79.99 retail-exclusive Collector's Edition will include all the features of Digital Deluxe Edition as well as:
- Malthael mouse pad, bearing the "impenetrable visage" of the Angel of Death
- Hardback Collector's Edition art book, chronicling the game's artistic development
- Behind-the-scenes Blu-Ray/DVD two-disc set, featuring in-depth interviews with the development team and members of the Diablo 3 community
The Standard Edition of Reaper of Souls is available from €39.99.
