BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn has revealed that the next Mass Effect game is currently in a playable state.
Flynn described the game as "Ambitious. Beautiful. Fresh but recognizable. And fun!"

Earlier today we reported on Flynn's comments that more news about the next Mass Effect might be revealed this month and it's possible that this is what he was alluding to.
Gameplay designer Manveer Heir also said today:
Right now I'm playing through the latest Mass Effect stuff. Really cool to see the game coming together over time and feel like a real game.

In November, BioWare developers tweeted screens and art work of the game to mark N7 Day, a celebration of the Mass Effect series.
The next Mass Effect does not have a release window or confirmed launch platforms as of yet.
