Dark Souls 2 players will come across the Executioner's Chariot, also known as the Silver Chariot, boss fight during the game and the carriage comes with a quite distinctive theme.
Hellkite Drake's music blog has re-imagined what that sound might be like if on a SNES 16-bit player and you can listen to the rather eerie yet atmospheric track here.
Located in the Undead Purgatory, the Executioner Chariot attempts to run over the player when encountered. Thanfully however, the chariot also crushes your little regard for friend or foe although the best bet for beating the boss is to linger in the alcove until it passes and pull levers to force a one-on-one confrontation the chariot's horses.
You can check out the boss fight in the video from the game's beta below. Developer FromSoftware has said players will be able to tackle the game's bosses early if they're good enough but you shouldn't expect Dark Souls 2 to be any easier than its predecessor.
Dark Souls 2 is headed to PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 in March and the Executioner's Chariot would surely be the perfect mode of transportation for getting to the recently announced Tokyo cafe inspired by the series which is set to open in January.
How did you think Hellkite did in bringing the chariot's distinctive vibe to a 16-bit sound format?
