From tomorrow, December 18th IndieGameStand is set to play through "notable" free downloadable games for 24 hours over 12 consecutive days in a bid to raise money for the Child's Play charity.
IndieGameStand also hopes to raise awareness of the titles they're playing. Mike Gnade, IndieGameStand's co-founder, said:
“Our goal at IndieGameStand is to serve the gaming community and spread awareness about indie games and indie development. People have been asking us about free indie games since the launch of our site, so we came up with this idea to raise money for charity. We hope that this event is successful and embraced by the gaming community so that we can continue it for many holiday seasons to come.”
Over a dozen developers are involved in the event and you can find out more on the charity drive's website. IndieGameStand stresses that those who donate are not paying for the games and that all proceeds go directly to Child's Play.
The drive will continue until December 29th.
