The PlayStation 4 isn’t the only next-generation platform that supports a slew of indie titles. The ID@Xbox program is helping to make the Xbox One a viable home for smaller games, and according to program director Chris Charla, we’ll begin to see the developers’ hard work in the early portion of 2014.
"I think it will be early in the New Year, in the first three months," he told Edge in a new interview. "I would say closer to the third month. In terms of how many games there will be, it's hard to say, because they're still in development."
The program started in August, and while some creators have claimed that it’s not exactly perfect, it’s still a good effort by Microsoft to make its platform more open.
"Some developers started developing for Xbox One, others already had games in development and are working on Xbox One versions," Charla added. "I would say they're at all stages of development, honestly."
Look to hear more about these smaller experiences in the coming months.
