Killzone Shadow Fall Support Class Guide

December 9, 2013 by Ryan Parreno

Support Class has a lot of fun abilities and weapons to use in Shadow Fall. Get the details here.

Today we’re looking at the Support Class for Killzone Shadow Fall.

The Support class has six abilities exclusive to it, as well as five primary weapons. The exclusive abilities are Revive Drone, Air Support Drone, Spawn Beacon, Turret, Supply Box, and Support Teleport. Meanwhile, the available primary weapons are the VC30, StA59B, StA4, Pnv06, and Vns12A. The secondary weapons are the StA19 and VC15, while available explosives are M194 and Petrusite. All of the weapons here are available from the onset, with only some unlockable attachments.

Revive Drone is the Support Class’ sole primary ability, and will always be available. Activated by pressing left on the d-pad, this activates a flying drone that goes around and heals critically wounded teammates.

The Air Support Drone is also a flying drone with a minigun that strikes nearby enemies. Before you can activate an Air Support Drone, you have to throw out a beacon by pressing R2, and then you activate by pressing right on the d-pad.

The Spawn Beacon allows you to set a spawn point in your proximity, which is useful in bringing you closer to target locations. To activate, you press right on the d-pad, and then R2. Remember that these beacons can be destroyed by enemies.

Turrets are self explanatory. You will want to place turrets in such a way that they protect key locations. To activate, you press right on the d-pad, and then R2.

The Supply Box can be placed anywhere in the map. Supply boxes will allow you to reload your bullets and revive health, as well as members of your team. These boxes can blend with the environment seamlessly.

Finally, Support Teleport is the ultimate helper ability. You can teleport to any of your teammates’ locations, allowing you to help out whoever needs it at any time.

Support Class is very basic in Killzone Shadow Fall. It is a good idea to switch classes if you run out of ammo, you are running into a spawn trap, or enemy drones from Support Class opponents are surrounding you.

We’ll go through the weapons in detail another time. If you would like a basic rundown, please refer to this source video below.
