IGN reports that Ubisoft has sent surveys to players asking what they'd like to see from Assassin's Creed 5. The survery also raises the possibility of a non-Assassin's Creed pirate spin-off game.
Regarding the pirate title, the survey asks: "In such a game what would be the most important elements among these below?"
Choices included in the response table are customisable pirate character, ship, and hideout, a deeper economy, and additional activities at sea or on land among others. The survey also asks if players would be interested in cooperative and multiplayer naval combat, enquiring if participants would like to "sail and fight with my friends" and "sail and fight with other players."
The survey asks whether Black Flag felt like an Assassin's Creed game and if it could have worked as a pirate-only non-assassin title.
Respondants are also quizzed on whether they'd like to see a modern day hero like Desmond. Other options for Assassin's Creed include a new assassin in a different time period, more stealth, more assassination missions, the ability to alter the look of a city through gameplay actions, and the chance to explore more building interiors among other options.
Assassin's Creed 4 director Ashraf Ismail has previously said that he would like to see a game in the franchise set in ancient Egypt. Ubisoft may also have hinted at a Wild West setting for a future game in Black Flag.
