Ubisoft recently released a series of images showing what Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag players can expect in the game's modern sections and if you look closely at the image above you might just see a cowboy hat below the desk on the left.
Assassin's Creed 3 players will recall that Achilles wore a similar hat but the aged Assassin had one that was quite a bit broader and flatter. Achilles' hat was also a darker brown.
Maybe it's a deliberate hint by Ubisoft at where the series is headed or perhaps the Abstergo employee simply enjoys rodeos.
We do know that the Assassin's Creed: Brahman comic will see the series head to India but after Black Flag's Caribbean setting it's not clear what locations the games will use.
A Wild West themed Assassin's Creed could be Ubisoft's attempt to match Take Two's Red Dead franchise – it was revealed last week that Redemption might be getting a sequel.
Ubisoft has an endgame worked out for the Assassin's Creed series and maybe the franchise will go with a gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
