Sony has released the European commercial for Gran Turismo 6 which launches worldwide tomorrow.
The game will be the first in the series to include microtransactions and Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida has defended the move saying:
@Km2000gt read the posts, the game is just offering an alternative path to busy people. Read reviews when they come out.

@yosp Sony is doing a fantastic job building a system truly for the players. Microtransactions, like DRM, is not a good thing for us.

A Sony spokesperson told CVG that the microtransactions are "not prompted in the in-game experience at all."
The rep continued, adding:
"As with previous installments of Gran Turismo, users are able to earn in-game credits and unlock additional cars by competing in races or event challenges,.
"We do not require players to purchase or use purchased in-game currency to experience or progress through the complete game."
You can decide for yourself if that's the case tomorrow. The launch ad is below.
