Doom has been an iconic franchise for years though it certainly had a big resurgence in 2016 when a reboot released. Doom saw the franchise launch in current-generation consoles with a massive overhaul from its early days. It was a brutal demonic punishing FPS where players once again step into the role of Doom Slayer. Set on Mars, hell’s portal is unlocked and the only thing keeping humanity safe is our space marine hero.
Doom Eternal is bringing out a big some of its own overhauls such as new weapons and even a system that allows players to visually see an enemy deteriorating when being hit. Overall, the story follows hell’s invasion on Earth and Doom Slayer is back home trying his best to rid the world from the enemy invasion. While the game was delayed initially, we’re still finding more information about the title regularly such as the announcement of a hub world where Doom Slayer can make upgrades to his gear.
Likewise, today we’re finding out that id Software has allowed the first 10 minutes to be released on YouTube. For those of you who were itching to get a bit more Doom Eternal and need something to tie you over until the release on March 20, 2020, you can check out the gameplay footage posted above.
As mentioned, those that are wanting to pick up a copy of Doom Eternal can do so on March 20, 2020, for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia platforms. It’s worth pointing out that the Nintendo Switch platform will also see a release though it will be available at a later date this year.
