[Update]
The release date has been confirmed.
Original Story…
Dead Cells came out in 2017 and with it came a slew of updates though now we’re soon going to get a paid DLC known as The Bad Seed. This DLC was announced in the past, but we never got a specific release date as to when the content would finally be available for players to purchase. Now thanks to a store listing from Microsoft, we may now know just when the expansion is hitting the market which could be early next month.
Development studio Motion Twin is working on The Bad Seed, an expansion that would bring out new levels, enemies and weapons. According to the Steam store page description, there will be two new levels with monsters that are alternatives to The Courtyard/Toxic Sewers along with The Ramparts/Ossuary/ and Ancient Sewers. We imagine that this expansion is quite enticing to pick up for fans of the base game, but as mentioned, there wasn’t a release date attached to The Bad Seed outside of sometime early 2020.
Now a new discovery from the Microsoft store page has stated Dead Cells The Bad Seed DLC will be releasing on February 11, 2020. This could potentially be a placeholder until the official release date is announced, though no official word has come out yet on if this is the date we’ll see The Bad Seed make its way out into the market.
Currently, Dead Cells is available for PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and iOS platforms. It’s worth noting that a port for Android devices is coming sometime this year.
