Battlefield 4 Attack Jet Secondary Weapons Guide

November 29, 2013 by Ryan Parreno

Find out which unlock best complements your main cannons, and in what situations

We have a new guide providing a rundown of the secondary weapons you can get for your Attack Jet in Battlefield 4, in order of unlocking.

The first available weapons you will get for your Attack Jet are the Laser Guided Missiles. They are good to use with ground targets, but not flying targets or infantry. You will have to keep your lock on on said targets to ensure the missiles get there, so you will not be able to use cannons with it. The upside is they are good for attacking fast moving ground vehicles.

The first weapon you unlock are the Heatseekers. Truthfully, there are better weapons to use than this one, so you will want to pass on it.

Up next are the Hydra Rockets. It is easier to target infantry with this rather than the main cannons. However, you will need several rockets to take out one soldier, so this is also not recommended.

The TV Missiles are one of the two really good options. They immobilize the target, and fire one after another. These are also good at attacking infantry, although you will have to target them accurately. Your plane will also slow down after using these, so you need to be careful using these.

Finally, the JDAM bomb comes highly recommended. These are very hard to use, but worth learning. Using the bomb changes your point of view, and costs time to target.

You can target close to the ground, but this can make you vulnerable to attack. Therefore, you will want to do so in such a way that you are only close to the ground for a brief moment. Selecting and attacking targets has to be deliberate.

The JDAM bomb is perfect to use when you’re hitting a ground target (say, a tank), your cannons are running out, and you need to start pulling up. Drop the bomb just before you ascent to finish off said target.

The video offers more details on targeting with these weapons, so if you want to learn more, check out the source video below.
