According to new website domains registered by Sony Pictures and discovered by Superannuation a film adaptation of The Last of Us may be on the way.
The two registrations, for TheLastOfUs-Movie.com and TheLastOfUsMovie.net, currently do not have web pages associated with them but suggest that a film of Naughty Dog's zombie post-apocalypse.
The Last of Us' first story DLC, Left Behind, was recently revealed and will be released early in 2014. Naughty Dog has traditionally been a one game at-a-time studio but split into two teams for the development of The Last of Us suggesting a videogame sequel could be in development concurrently to the production of a new Uncharted on PlayStation 4.
Sony confirmed earlier this year that The Last of Us broke PS3 sales records so a movie wouldn't be terribly surprising.
The Last of Us followed two characters, Joel and Ellie, as they crossed a devastated America in a bid to create a cure for the fungal infection which had wiped out most of civilisation.
