You haven’t had a chance to play Dead Rising 3 on your Xbox One yet? Sorry, you’re already behind. That’s because Capcom is all but sure that it will be making another Zombie-themed title in the near future, and the foundation set by its big launch title will only make a fourth game that much better. Producer Mike Jones talked to OXM about just how excited he is to see what can be done when his team actually develops a game with the Xbox One in mind right from the start.
"Looking forward, we're just giddy with excitement," Jones said. "What can we do next? Now that we have that foundation. Where do we push next? You can talk about cloud, you can talk about online, you can talk about social stuff, SmartGlass, away play, more crazy stuff you can do with Kinect – we've tried to focus on seamless core-facing non-intrusive Kinect stuff, like with the grappling. It's actually hard to go back to the stick grappling once you've tried out the Kinect grappling. But I digress. The point is that we're just really excited to just get here."
The reviews have been mostly positive for Dead Rising 3, but improved visuals and a steadier framerate wouldn’t hurt what’s already a fun title. It’ll likely come a few years down the line, though, so don’t expect Dead Rising 4 to limp into your life too soon.
