The PlayStation 4 is out, and it's already seen two patches that've brought the system up to version 1.51. Though less significant than the Day 1 update, the system updates include improved system softweare stability, as well as minor touch-ups to the user interface.
Needless to say, the system is good—but it's far from perfect, and there's huge room for improvement where it matters.

Here's what we, the gamers, would like to see implemented into Patch 2.0 any other future patches for the system.
Features
– Upload videos directly to YouTube
– DS4 light disable, customize colors, etc.
– The ability to delete software/apps you don't use—e.g. Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited, etc.
– The ability to pause/resume downloads and uploads
– Themes, both custom and premium
– Layouts, different ways to customize the home screen
– Local saves, for captured footage and ability to export to USB drive
– Better Standby and/or Suspend Mode. At present, the system does not work as advertised—it cannot resume gameplay in a few seconds from standby
– Ablity to watch Twitch streams of something other than PS4 games
Interface
– Better sorting options. The friends list should clearly say whether the player is playing on PS3 or PS4
– Party/group invite
– The addition of time/date stamps on activities under the "What's New" tab
– Notification for when a friend logs on (incl. favorite friends)
– The ability to leave comments on the "What's New" section. This is already a feature on the PS Vita
– Interface improvements to saved Video Captures. The only way to edit and trim videos right now is to do so before sharing; you should be able to do this from the Data Management screen in settings
– Game updates. There should be a notification for when a game update is available for any game you have installed
– Quick reply message
– "Appear offline" status for friends list
– Touchpad support for browser and UI
Support
– Proper support for Sony's own Pulse Elite headset. At the present, it cannot be muted
– 3D Blu-Ray Support
– DLNA media, MP3, and MKV support
