DICE has confirmed that they are now rolling out a new server update for Battlefield 4. Consoles should get the update by 2 AM PST / 11 AM UTC, while most PC servers will get it within the next 24 hours.
The server update fixes the most common reasons for server crashes, handling issues on multiple platforms. It also handles several minor specific issues, which we
own for you below:
· Fixes error in Paracel Storm, where you are unable to launch a cruise missile in Commander Mode.
· Commander mode should no longer adversely affect player skill points.
· Fixes issue with aircraft IR flares, which allowed players to use said flares multiple times without reloading, by simply going in and out of the aircraft.
· Fixes issue with Xbox One ranked servers running with 1 % ticket count.
· Gives ranked servers a range of 25 to 400 % for vehicle respawn delays.
Unfortunately, DICE provided no details in regards to server crash issues, but we should be confirming soon based on player experience how many of said issues are being resolved soon.
On a related note, some Battlefield fans are planning some sort of action this coming Friday, which is the one month anniversary of the game’s launch. Basically, they want to tell the media that the game was clearly not ready at launch, and DICE was forced to release it in this state by their bosses to make it to the next gen launch.
