Orcs and Trolls Abound in New Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor Screens

November 21, 2013 by Stephen Daly

No, not the internet variety of trolls – more like ‘we have a cave troll’.

A batch of new screens for Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor have been revealed detailing the prequel to The Lord of the Rings' open world and enemies.

Warner Bros. Interactive senior vice president, Samantha Ryan, detailed the game saying, "players will explore the dark and very personal theme of vengeance in a world where decisions have a consequence, and those consequences persist even after death."

Shadow of Mordor is being developed by F.E.A.R maker Monolith Productions and brings with it the Nemesis System – an engine designed to create intelligent enemies and detailed relationships between characters determined by player actions.

The screens are below and showcase orcs, goblins, trolls, and wargs as well as magic and some of the environments which will be available for players to explore next year in Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
