Microsoft announced that the Gears franchise was turning to turn-based strategy in their latest game, but up until tonight, we have been in the dark about the game. Tonight during the Game Awards 2019, a new world premiere trailer showing off the first look at gameplay has been released. Check it out down below.
Gears Tactics takes the franchise to a turn-based strategy and that is exactly what we see in the gameplay trailer. When humanity is pushed to its limits, you must recruit and build your very own squad and defeat the evil monster that is creating all this havoc.
If there’s anything we get from the trailer, it’s that Gears Tactics will be brutal and fast-paced. It is also worth noting, the trailer reveals the campaign will be over 40 hours long, which is an interesting aspect to include in the trailer. Anywho, we are so here for it!
Gears Tactics currently does not have a release date, however, when it does launch it will be including in Microsoft’s Game Pass subscription.
The Game Awards 2019 is currently airing and it is bringing a ton of great news from the show. There’s a great mix of cool announcements, world premieres, and awards. We already saw the announcement of the upcoming Microsoft console — Xbox Series X, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, and much much more. Make sure to check out our entire coverage of the show right here!
