Capcom has listed three new games onto the PlayStation Network database, and thanks to Gamestat.com — a site that tracks data from the PSN API catoulgue — we know what those games are.
Those three games are Resident Evil: Project Resistance, the recently announced multiplayer co-op title, Biohazard RE:3, and Resident Evil 3. This is very exciting news as there has been plenty of leaks suggesting that Capcom is working on a Resident Evil 3 Remake in the works. In addition to the leaked titles, we also got leaked images to go alongside them.
Check out the tweet from video game observer, Nibel, down below:
Capcom has announced that they will be bringing an unannounced title to Jump Fiestsa 2020 which will run from December 21 to 22 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. However, if you were to ask me, I would believe the official reveal for the speculated title would be at The Video Game Awards 2019 on December 12th.
In related news, Eurogamer states that the Resident Evil 3 remake project has been in development for quite some time, however, Capcom is currently giving the Resident Evil: Project Resistance the spotlight for now. However, the game is indeed real and will be releasing in 2020. This shouldn’t be the biggest surprise, due to the wild success of Resident Evil 2 remake; but it would be nice to hear from Capcom that the game is indeed real.
Resident Evil 2 remake brought the series back in the shining spotlight it deserves to be and if Capcom is really looking to dig deep into their backlog of titles to remake, Resident Evil 3 remake would be the perfect game to do so. If you want to get yourself a little more excited about the possibility of a RE3 remake, when asked about the project, Capcom declined to answer Eurogamer; which is always a good sign for us.
Resident Evil 2 Remake is one of the best titles to release in 2019 and if Capcom is smart, Resident Evil 3 Remake wouldn’t be too far behind. Would you like to see a RE3 remake? Let us know in the comments below!
