New rumors and sources suggest that Capcom is currently developing Resident Evil 3 remake and it is set to release in 2020.
The news comes hot off YouTuber SpawnWave, who breaks down the hints, teases, and leaks about the secretly protected projected. Now if you don’t believe SpawnWave, Eurogamer also has sources close to the project which corroborates his video.
Eurogamer states that the project has been in development for quite some time, however, Capcom is currently giving the Resident Evil: Project Resistance the spotlight for now. However, the game is indeed real and will be releasing in 2020. This shouldn’t be the biggest surprise, due to the wild success of Resident Evil 2 remake; but it would be nice to hear from Capcom that the game is indeed real.
Resident Evil 2 remake brought the series back in the shining spotlight it deserves to be and if Capcom is really looking to dig deep into their backlog of titles to remake, Resident Evil 3 remake would be the perfect game to do so. If you want to get yourself a little more excited about the possibility of a RE3 remake, when asked about the project, Capcom declined to answer Eurogamer; which is always a good sign for us.
