Sonic the Hedgehog Movie is still on the way after a slight delay and Paramount Pictures has released a brand new trailer for the movie, one which showcases a brand new look for our lead hero, Sonic.
Sonic The Hedgehog Movie follows Sonic as he befriends a new early human, Tom Wachowski and the two of them join forces to take down the evil Dr. Robotnik played by the charismatic Jim Carrey.
After negative feedback for Sonic’s face design, Paramount Pictures altered the look of our hero showcasing a brand new, very improved version of the titular character. The new-look comes after backlash from social media and fans alike, claiming the original design was horrific, to say the very least.
Director Jeff Fowler took the matter very seriously and took to Twitter to address fans saying “Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes.” It was obvious the studio and everyone involved with the film cares very much about how the movie comes out, as this is a bold move to redesign a character this late in the release cycle.
Sonic The Hedgehog Movie races into the theaters on February 14, 2020.
